總統府、行政院新聞傳播處今（9）日上午表示，因南部地區大雨不斷，現應集中人力以淹水救災為重，莫拉克重建委員會今在高雄所舉辦之卸牌典禮及科工館莫拉克風災展示館開館儀式，總統馬英九及院長江宜樺將不出席。

另外，江宜樺也取消出席重建會卸牌典禮暨檔案移交儀式。

氣象局表示，由於西南風影響，高雄市已有大豪雨發生；預計今日高雄及屏東地區仍有局部豪雨或大豪雨發生；午後中南部地區亦有局部大雨或豪雨發生的機率，請注意瞬間大雨、雷擊及強陣風；低窪地區請慎防淹水。
