本屆金球獎音樂喜劇類最佳女主角，由《大眼睛》的艾美亞當斯（Amy Adams）拿下，不僅她本人頻頻喊意外，連媒體都有點不可置信，因為之前大家幾乎都認為《魔法黑森林》的艾蜜莉布朗（Emily Blunt）應該會拿下這個獎。

從艾美在台上致詞就可以看得出來，「這真是太意外了，我完全沒想到自己會得到這個獎，現在則是覺得非常幸運，自己能演出這個角色，感謝我老公一直那麼支持我，也感謝現代的女性多了很多說話權。」

不過說實在的，今年的音樂/喜劇類影后候選人，所以這個獎項有頒給任何一位的可能性。艾美亞當斯在《大眼睛》的表演可圈可點，因為她去年已經憑《瞞天大佈局》搶下這個獎，大家都以為今年她得獎的可能性不大，沒想到出人意料之外。

艾美亞當斯在《大眼睛》裡，扮演被丈夫冒認作品的畫家瑪格利特（Margaret Keane），她演活了不甘被利用，但同時又害怕失去家庭的女子，其表現為喜劇帶來了一點戲劇性，令電影增加了層次。
