丹佛金塊送走Arron Afflalo與Alonzo Gee後不到1個小時，再度與費城七六人達成協議，和「天兵中鋒」JaVale McGee說再見。

根據《雅虎運動》報導，金塊用McGee換來七六人首輪選秀權，這張籤是來自奧克拉荷馬雷霆手中。

McGee上季因傷幾乎報銷，只出賽5場，本季也只上場17場，平均11分鐘，貢獻5.2分、2.8籃板，不過拿手的阻攻仍有1.1次。
