戰IS 歐巴馬要求國會授權動武

美國總統歐巴馬今天已向國會提案，要求授權在對付伊斯蘭國（IS）的作戰中動用武力，唯對付IS的軍事行動限期3年，並不得把美軍部隊投入「持久的地面攻擊戰鬥」中。

歐巴馬在附隨這項作戰授權法草案的信函中說：「我已指示發動周詳、持續的戰略，以削弱並擊敗伊拉克與黎凡特伊斯蘭國（ISIL）。」

歐巴馬又說：「當地部隊，而非美國軍事部隊，應用於部署，以進行這些軍事行動。」

白宮說，歐巴馬將在格林威治時間今晚8時30分，就他的授權動武要求發表聲明。
