老牛流淚了　主人讓牠安享天年

彰化縣政府今天在溪州鄉費茲洛公園內為「彰化縣老牛安養中心」揭幕，該中心主要收容年紀老邁、無法勞作的老牛，使其可以安享天年，不用淪為被宰殺的命運。

縣長卓伯源表示，雖然機械取代耕牛，但縣內還是有不少的牛隻，光是芳苑鄉就有約50頭，基於保護動物的精神與感謝老牛耕作的奉獻，縣府斥資2百多萬元，設置安養中心，預計可以收容6隻牛，讓除役的老牛避免被宰殺的命運，也可趁機推廣生命教育。

第1隻入住的老牛其飼主洪義說，養了7年了十分不捨，但人老了、牛也老了，雙方都無力耕作了，又不忍心讓「老友」被宰殺，希望牠能在此舒舒服服安享天年，尤其是今天牛隻要入住，看到牛的眼睛流下「淚水」心中真是萬般不捨。（詹智淵╱彰化報導）
