226公斤「太油」　美火葬場煙囪爆「熱量」燒到隔壁

美國維吉尼亞州日前發生一起「離奇火災」，亨利科郡（Henrico County）一間火葬場在火化一名500磅（約226公斤）的死者時，卻因為從煙囪冒出太多「熱量」，而讓旁邊的房屋「著火」。

根據美國《WTVR》電視台報導，這起火災發生在當地時間8日下午，由於遺體在火化過程中產生過多的熱量以及油脂，並從焚化爐的煙囪「爆出」，導致隔壁的房屋的橡膠屋頂起火。

當地消防局發言人羅森鮑姆（Daniel Rosenbaum）表示，起火原因確時是因為遺體「太大」所造成，所幸火勢很快就被撲滅，屋內3人也及時逃出，並沒有造成人員傷亡。

維吉尼亞州火葬協會的網站指出，一般體型的成年人大約需要2到3小時的時間火化。而火葬場業務經理傑利（Jerry Hendrix）則表示，「我在這裡服務20年第一次遇到這種狀況！那個人只不過比其他人稍微大一點而已。」
