體育藝術家畫棒球　拍賣價格18萬起跳

體育藝術家尼曼(LeRoy Neiman)，生前在棒球上作畫的129顆球，將被拿出來拍賣，其中包含在1995年所畫，洋基傳奇球星米奇曼托(Mickey Mantle)的揮棒動作，以及貝比魯斯拿著球棒的樣子，這2顆球估計各有4000美元(約12.3萬台幣)的價值。
 
但其中被認為拍賣價格，將為最高的一顆球，是上面畫著瑪麗蓮夢露(Marilyn Monroe)，估計將至少有6000美元的價值(約18萬台幣)。這些球的擁有人麥卡貝(Charlie McCabe)說：「尼曼在1978年去大都會春訓時，我給了他1顆球，問他能不能在上面畫畫，這也是他第1次在棒球上作畫。」
 
麥卡貝自己仍保留了幾顆球做蒐藏，像是尼曼在棒球上替麥卡貝畫的畫像，還有皮耶薩(Mike Piazza)、小瑞普肯(Cal Ripken Jr.)、麥奎爾(Mark McGwire)等人的畫像球。
 
麥卡貝說：「剩下的球，將成為我家中地窖的擺設，這次的拍賣所得，一部分將捐給慈善機構。」（王翊亘／綜合報導）
