馬英九總統「鍘王」行動，部份公務員也遭受波及，引起各界震撼。前民進黨主席蔡英文今（16）日發布新聞稿指出，她向所有政府部門工作同仁提出請求，儘管可能面臨著各種不當壓力，但為了國家和人民，請務必堅持專業倫理，拒絕捲入政爭、保持中立，並堅守崗位，捍衛公平正義，用最大的努力來維持國家的正常運作，把人心安定下來。

蔡英文表示，連日來馬總統掀起的政爭，除特偵組監聽國會領袖，被國際媒體指為「水門案」翻版，並以撤銷黨籍方式企圖撤換立法院長，嚴重干涉國會自主，不但動盪了政局，讓民心惶惶。

蔡英文表示，因為總統和行政院長踰越憲政分際，毫無節制地利用國家機器打擊政敵，更使得文官體系面臨無所適從的混亂，政府運作陷入空轉，司法人員這段期間也必然承受相當的壓力。

蔡英文強調，這個時候，她要特別向所有政府部門工作同仁提出這樣的請求：儘管可能面臨著各種不當的壓力，但是為了這個國家和人民，請各位務必堅持專業倫理，嚴正的拒絕捲入政爭、保持中立，也請各位堅守崗位，捍衛公平正義，用最大的努力來維持國家的正常運作，把人心安定下來。

她說，這不只是基於責任，更是身為公務人員最高榮耀。
