通訊軟體WeChat引述市場調查機構GlobalWebIndex (GWI)的調查指出，自2013年第二季至2014年第二季(不含中國)，WeChat的活躍用戶激增超過55%，其中深受年輕世代歡迎，尤其在亞太地區，超過74%、年齡介於16至34歲之間的WeChat亞太地區用戶，特別偏愛WeChat。

WeChat表示，在亞太地區大幅成長，從2013年第二季至2014年第二季中WeChat在亞太地區（中國除外）的活躍用戶群，過去一年中成長超過60%，而WeChat在亞洲市場中的香港(222%)、台灣(166%)與菲律賓(100%)的成長率最為突出。（朱正庭／台北報導）
