去年球季右膝受傷的金鶯強打三壘手Manny Machado動刀治療傷勢，經過復健療程後，他認為身體狀況復原良好，可望參加春訓。

「我的膝蓋很好啊，整個身體狀態都覺得很棒，目前投入訓練，不會覺得負擔不了，我已經準備好要參加春訓了。」Machado說。

Machado在教練團要求下，參加球隊迷你訓練營，根據練習狀況，總教練「休總」 Buck Showalter也認為Machado復原狀況相當良好。

去年Machado飽受膝傷之苦，開季因為左膝動刀，錯過球季第一個月，8月份又扭傷右膝，再度動刀，並提前關機，合計出賽82場，擊出12支全壘打，打擊率0.278。

左、右膝蓋都動了刀，Machado表示：「現在我有兩個全新的膝蓋，我可以盡情地在球場發揮，現階段該做的事，就是每天磨練自己，為新球季備戰。」
