UN：勿讓隔離嚇退醫護人員赴西非

路透報導，聯合國伊波拉急難反應任務總監班伯里呼籲，各國政府應避免任何嚇跑醫護人員的作為，導致他們不敢前往西非協助對抗伊波拉病毒，也應避免因為歇斯底里而作成任何的隔離決定。

美國紐約、新澤西、伊利諾三州均宣布與隔離相關的新規定，並因此造成返美護士凱西‧希考克斯痛批自己在機場的遭遇，表示她所受到的隔離待遇，可能讓醫護人員不敢再赴西非。

班伯里說：「讓外國受過良好訓練人員打消到西非加入抗疫前線念頭的任何作法，都令人非常、非常遺憾。」
