王瑜任中研院副院長 首個女科學家任此職

中研院今舉行副院長交接典禮，副院長彭旭明返回台大任職，由台大化學系教授、中研院院士王瑜接任，是第二位女性副院長，也是首位女科學家副院長。

王瑜曾任台大化學系教授、台大理學院院長、國科會自然處處長，現職士台大化學系特聘研究講座，擅長領域是結晶學和無機化學。

王瑜對學術研究最主要的貢獻，是用精準的X光繞射和高層次的墊子結構計算，來找出分子當中，電子的分布與形狀。

目前中研院有三位副院長，王瑜主管數理科學組、陳建仁主管生命科學組，王汎森主管人文社會科學組。
