前美商奇異電子執行長 Jack Welch呼籲聯準會暫緩升息計畫(圖：AFP)

《CNBC》報導，前美商奇異電子 (GE-US) 執行長 Jack Welch 接受媒體採訪時表示，聯準會可能「瘋了」才會在未來幾個月之內升息。

Jack 認為，現在美元匯率處於數年以來最高點，如果聯準會在此刻貿然升息，可能對美國經濟造成負面影響。這番話呼應了開拓重工 (CAT-US) 執行長看法，同樣呼籲聯準會不要太快升息，認為美國經濟並沒有準備好面對升息。

上週聯準會官員暗示不排除在今年升息的可能性，目前還會繼續保持耐性等待升息時機。多位經濟學者預期，聯準會可能於 2015 年下半年開始升息。
