對於未來電視使用想像，Sony目前似乎打算藉由雲端平台方式提供數位電視內容，在預計2015年於全美地區推行的PlayStation Vue服務，將收錄包含Fox、CBS、Viacom與ABC等合作內容，並且採取每月付費方式，讓使用者能以更具彈性方式選擇觀看。

同時，使用者可透過連網電視、PlayStation 3、PlayStation 4，以及iPad等手持裝置觀看內容，未來也將持續對應Sony或非Sony旗下連網設備使用。

在今年宣布推出PlayStation Now雲端串流遊戲服務後，Sony進一步宣布推出以雲端平台方式提供的數位電視服務PlayStation Vue，其中收錄包含Fox、CBS、Viacom與ABC等合作內容，使用者可透過連網電視、PlayStation 3、PlayStation 4，以及iPad等手持裝置觀看即時、隨選內容，同時付費方式也並未特別以年約綁定，使用者能配合月繳方式選擇是否持續使用服務。

目前此項服務預計在本月內率先開放紐約地區使用者試用，接下來也預計在芝加哥、費城、洛杉磯，Sony計畫將在2015年初於全美地區推行此項服務。至於受限於內容授權等因素，估計此項服務暫時還不會在其他地區提供。
