肺臟來自同一名捐贈者 美國姐妹獲新生

英國廣播公司22日報導，美國一對姐妹十年前被診斷出罹患原發型肺纖維化病變，她們一月初在休士頓衛理醫院接受肺臟移植手術，且這兩枚肺臟都來自同一名捐贈者。

七十一歲的艾爾瑪‧梅爾斯-杉塔納和六十九歲的安娜‧威廉森過去不斷爭論誰的病況較嚴重，急需進行換肺手術，姐妹倆都希望對方先動手術。今年一月初，她們接受來自同一名捐贈者的肺臟，同時進入手術房動肺臟移植手術。此外，這對姐妹都是耶和華見證人，該宗派禁止輸血，因此這對姐妹監持進行不輸血手術。休士頓衛理醫院是美國唯一能夠進行此類手術的醫療機構。
