台鐵竹北車站新站房 周三啟用

台鐵竹北車站新站設施將在星期三正式啟用，台鐵表示，為方便東西側旅客進出，新站區採跨站式設計，兩側都設有出入口，並提供非付費區域供民眾通行，第一、第二月台都設置電梯，可滿足行動不便、帶大型行李或手推嬰兒車等旅客需求。

台鐵指出，響應節能減碳，新站區屋頂設置太陽能電池，室內採自然通風，百分之九十以上的建材可以回收再利用，還有雨水回收系統，正積極爭取「國家鑽石級綠色標章」。

台鐵表示，星期三上午八點將開放民眾索取新站房啟用紀念卡，限量三千份，車站西站也販售紀念月台票六千份。（圖：台鐵竹北車站新站房）
