日本三重縣鳥羽市答志島出現一隻雌雄同體的龍蝦。該縣水產研究所稱，這種現象十分罕見，是由於受精卵的基因資訊交錯導致的。

國際在線據日本《每日新聞》報導，據悉，這隻龍蝦被一名旅館老闆發現。他自16日至20日期間，共進貨500隻龍蝦，24日晚上發現其中一隻腹部朝上。取出一看發現其左半身是紅褐色，右半身是黑色。這隻蝦已經死亡，足部和尾部等已被同類吃掉。

三重縣水產研究所一名從事龍蝦增殖技術開發長達23年的研究員稱，『十分罕見，這是我第二次見到這種龍蝦。』關於原因，他解釋，『有可能是受精卵在分裂成2個細胞時，決定雌雄和身體顏色的基因資訊交錯導致這種現象發生。基本可以斷定這是一隻雌雄同體的龍蝦。』
